Caroline Langevoord was born in the Netherlands and worked in advertising in Amsterdam for a long time. In 2005 she decided to give up her comfortable life and left with a backpack on her back for East Africa. ‘Counting elephants’ was her mission. As a tour guide she started and got to know a lot of countries. She lived at the Samburu Park in Kenya where she did the marketing for and set up a large women’s project. Meanwhile, she followed a studio to become an official safari guide and in recent years she has been guiding mainly in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Madagascar. In nature, she feels at home and she still enjoys every moment of the splendor nature gives us. In her free time she also travels a lot, but she also enjoys Zanzibar where she now lives and sniffs the local culture there or walks on unbeaten paths.
During the Covid period she started writing about her safari adventures and with her book “Wild Tales in Africa” she takes you by the hand on safari (the book will be published in November 2023 in Dutch, later in English). In this book she not only shares fun and exciting anecdotes, but photographs of her are also published. These photos and many more can be found on this website.
During her travels she has seen many ends of the world, but many destinations are still on her wish list. With her photos she not only wants to capture a beautiful memory, but also to show others how much beauty and diversity our planet offers.
Be taken on safari or travel with Caroline around the world and enjoy with her the beautiful places or unique people she has seen and met.
The photos that are also published in the book are accompanied by a quote from the book.
